Well, we knew the time would come soon enough! The official countdown to Poptropica’s upcoming 27th island, Poptropolis Games, has begun. Poptropolis Games will become available to paid members in its Early Access period on May 24, 2012 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time – only two days before when we’d predicted it’d be released.

It’s only a matter of time now before we can compete in the city of Poptropolis – an occurrence that supposedly only happens every 100 years. We’ll have all of our Poptropica Cheats for Poptropolis Games island up when it’s released, so you can serve yourself to a full video/text walkthrough and live stream should you run into trouble while in competition.

Hey there Poptropicans! While having a look around the Daily Pop section of Poptropica.com, I stumbled upon what could be a clue to the anonymous Space-themed island that we have yet to hear about. The clue, what seems to be a puzzle, reads:

Fourteen minutes thirty nine seconds right ascension minus sixty degrees fifty minutes declination

Not knowing what this could possibly mean, I looked around for an answer and got the following:

There was no doubt about the direction the signals were coming from: right ascension 14 degrees, 39 minutes, 36 seconds; declination minus 60 degrees, 50.0 minutes. And parallactic studies revealed the distance: 1.34 parsecs from Earth. The aliens sending the messages apparently lived on a planet orbiting the star Alpha Centauri A, the nearest bright star to our sun.

Based on what I can see in this paragraph, and taking into consideration our coodinates versus theirs, it is a possibility that the coordinates are actually for Earth.

Howdy Poptropicans! With yesterday’s introduction of the Flying Squid tribe comes two new Poptropica tribes that will be present in the upcoming Poptropolis Games island: Seraphim and Black Flags. The Seraphim tribe will supposedly rise and fall on the wings of their dreams, whereas the Black Flags tribe will plant the flag of victory into the heart of Poptropolis.

There are but a few Poptropica tribes pending announcement on Poptropica’s official blog, which we predict we’ll indefinitely see by the end of this week. Remember to tune into Poptropica Cheatz for more tribe announcements!

Throughout the next week, Captain Crawfish will be unveiling the multiple tribes that will be present in the new and upcoming Poptropolis Games island. The latest tribe revealed is called the “Flying Squid”, and its description suggests that it’d want more of an inkling of victory in the games.

You can tune into what the next Poptropolis tribe will be labelled right here at the Poptropica Cheatz website later on today or early tomorrow morning. We predict that after all tribes are revealed, the Poptropolis Games countdown clock will finally appear on the homepage, letting us know of the island’s release date.

Hello fellow Poptropicans! Captain Crawfish made a new post on Poptropica’s official blog today, alerting us of something that will be present in the new and upcoming Poptropolis Games island – Tribes! According to Crawfish, you’ll need to fly your tribe’s colors both on your personality profile and in the game. Though he didn’t reveal all of the said tribes, he did give us a sneak peek of 4 out of the 8 that will be unveiled within the next week.

I guess there’s still a lot more to learn about Poptropolis Games – as, in addition to tribes, there will also be icons present in the game. This will all be revealed here on Poptropica Cheatz over the course of the next week.

Hey Poptropicans, if you read our article earlier in the day about the new Members-Only items from Poptropolis Games being released in Poptropica, you’ll realize that Poptropica is getting ready to announce the member release date of Poptropolis Games Island.

In the past, with Twisted Thicket, Vampire’s Curse Island and SOS Island, the island release usually comes a few days to 1 week after the release of these items, so we’re likely to see an announcement in the Poptropica blog tomorrow about the arrival of Poptropolis Games Island next week!

We’re not sure whether it’ll be released on Wednesday, May 16th or Thursday, May 17th, since the public release of Twisted Thicket surprised all of us coming on a Wednesday, May 2nd. It will likely be released in the afternoon Eastern US Time, as that has been the pattern lately. We’ll keep an eye on the announcement and we’re crossing our fingers for a public preview so that everyone can get a small taste of Poptropolis Games before the public release.

Black Widow made a post today on Poptropica’s official blog informing us of new Poptropica store additions, specifically new costumes and outfits that members and non-members can both have at. The outfits exclusive to members are as follows: Wrestling Gear, Plant-A-Statue and Discus. These outfits are of course related to the upcoming release of Poptropolis Games, the 27th island to have been created since Poptropica’s debut in 2007.

A note to members: The Wrestling Gear will only be available during the island’s Early Access period. When the island is released into Public Access, the gear will disappear forever – so act make sure to act fast!

It wouldn’t be a very interesting addition to the Poptropica store if there were no outfits that could be purchased by non-members, though! That’s why Poptropica also released a new costume that anyone can use – The Baby Girl and Baby Boy. The costume can be purchased by non-members at a fee of 75 credits, whilst members of course can grab the item at anytime free of charge.

Captain Crawfish left us all with a clue today on Poptropica’s official blog when he’d revealed what seems to be a location in the upcoming Poptropolis Games island. The picture, described as “Eternal Flame”, shows what might be the beginning of the island, where the banner labelled “Poptropolis Games” is hanging above ground with the audience in the background waiting for the games to begin.

This image pretty much gives away that the island will be Olympic-themed. It’s definitely not revolved around the hunger games, as it’s a tradition to light the torch before the “games begin”.

Though Captain Crawfish didn’t unveil very much information in regards to when the island may be released into early access, we here at Poptropica Cheatz predict that it’ll be some time within the next 3 weeks – provided Poptropica continues to go by their 2012 island release schedule.

Hey Poptropicans! May 2nd is here and we know you are all anxious to play Twisted Thicket and check out our Twisted Thicket Cheats since it is being released to non-members today. While we don’t have the usual countdown for the new island like we do when it is released to members, and many of you are probably asking “Why isn’t Twisted Thicket out yet?”, we can tell you that Poptropica usually releases islands at 11:00 am US Eastern Time.

UPDATE (11:20am): Poptropica has updated the Twisted Thicket details page to say “Available NOW for everyone!” but the map still says “Members Play Now”. We’re not sure why it hasn’t been actually opened, but it could be that Poptropica is waiting until 3pm like they do with their member releases. You may recall that Ghost Story Island was actually released to the public at 3pm, so that may be what Poptropica is doing with Twisted Thicket as well.

UPDATE (1:20pm): TWISTED THICKET IS OPEN!!!!

Well, it’s here everyone! The new and big thing that the Poptropica creators’ have been teasing us about for the last few weeks is finally out for everyone to try. Of course I’m talking about Poptropica Friends, a new and innovative system that will allow for further interaction and communication throughout the game.

I’ve already had a play around with it, and I can honestly say that it’s amazing. From adding friends, to seeing friends’ accomplishments, to being able to add anyone is quite fantastic. I can finally see how many islands Thinknoodles has completed (not that there are very many)!

In addition to all of the new features, Poptropica really outdid themselves with the user interface. Without interfering with its current one, they added a little tab in the top-right corner. This way, users are not confused and there are no major changes towards the game’s overall layout.
