Zomberry Island News and Information
Zomberry Island was added to Poptropica.Com on December 19, 2012 for early access to members.
Zomberry Island Description
One by one, the citizens of Eastman are mutating into something horrible. Now, the city is quarantined, the survivors are trapped, and ghouls prowl the streets. No one knows how the zombie outbreak began… but how it ends is up to you!
The zombie threat has been contained, but more danger lurks beneath the streets of Eastman. To prevent an even greater outbreak, you’ll need to venture into the sewers with only a flashlight… and your wits!
Members get an additional Zomberry Island gear pack, which includes Z.M.B Unit costume, Big Blue Zombie power, and Safety Flare item.
Zomberry Island Walkthroughs
You’ll land on Main Street in Eastman and there’s a few Poptropicans around, but you can run right past them and all the way to your left and speak with the police in front of the tunnel. Once you speak with the, the police chief will appear, call them all cowards and ask you if you have the guts to fight the zombies and save Eastman. Select the third option and he’ll hand you a flashlight and a clue notebook and send you on your way.
Open up your inventory and equip the flashlight — Zomberry Island is very dark, and you’ll need it for the whole island! Jump up on top of the school bus and enter the Fort Savini Tunnel.
Fort Savini Tunnel
You’ll enter the tunnel and be forced to go left and you’ll come across your first zombie. If you shine your flashlight on them, it will stop them from walking for a second, but you’ll still need to jump over them. If you get too close to a zombie (even when they’re stunned), they’ll scare you and send you back about 10 steps.
You’ll need to jump up on top of various vehicles and pass 4 zombies. Once you have passed the Fed Up truck, keep an eye out for an oil truck with a flashing red light above the cab. Just in front of the truck, on the ground, you should see something glittering. Run over it to pick up the car keys.
Keep heading to the left until you reach the red tow truck. Get right behind the cab and you should see a red lever below you. Pull the lever to tilt the bed of the tow truck down. Now use the car keys to get into the car. Once you are in the car, click the headlights switch on the left and click “close”. The headlights will shoo all the zombies away and you can get out of the tunnel and into the Financial District.
Right when you enter the Financial District, you should see a construction area. Head to the left a little bit until you see an orange and white construction barricade. Jump on top of it and then jump up into the construction site. Keep heading all the way up until you reach the top. Once you have reached the top, run to your right and get into the crane.
Use the crane to move the steel girders so that you can get over to the lunch box on the lower right. The best way to do this is to take the bottom middle piece and move it to where there is no piece on the top level, and then take the piece on the top left and move it to the bottom middle. Refer to the image on the right if you need a better description.
Once you’ve done that, click stop, jump out of the crane and fall down on your right, then use the construction barricade to get into the construction site again and just run to your right and open the lunch box. Search through the lunchbox and you will find the subway pass. Now, run to your left and go down to the subway.
Now that you’ve made it into the subway, run to your left and use the subway pass on the gate and it will open up for you. Continue to your left and enter the subway tracks.
Right as you enter the subway tracks, you’ll see a light above your head that appears to have been dismantled. Click on it to take the light bulb out and put it into your inventory.
Keep heading to your left (watch out for the zombies, they can be pretty annoying!) and go to the next section of subway tracks until you see the subway train. Click on the rocks on the ground if front of the train and it will roll a few feet.. just enough, in fact, you’ll see soon! You’ve done all you can do in here for now, so head back out of the subway the way you came.
Once you’re out, keep heading left through the financial district (you can take a second or two to curse out the smoothie shop for causing this zombie outbreak!).
Shady Side Apartments
Head to your left past the 419 building to the 417 building. On the lower right of the building, you’ll see a fuse box. Click on the fuse box to open it up and you’ll see a bunch of red switches on the right and lights on the left. Flip the switches until you have a path of all green lights vertically to the roof. The more green, the better, but they don’t have to ALL be green. Any apartment that is green will have no zombies in the window because the zombies’ weakness is light!
Exit the fuse box and jump all the way to the top. Once you’ve made it to the roof, enter the door on the left to get into the building. Now we have 3 apartments we must visit in this building and they’re on 3 separate floors.
Dr. Romero’s Apartment
Dr. Romero’s apartment is on the top floor you come in on, Apartment #7. Just head to your left and jump over the down staircase and you should be able to go into the door. Once inside, run to your left and click the yellow sticky note on the computer in his lab to get Dr. Romero’s clue for your clue notebook. It contains the username and password for the “Find My Phone” program later in the island (Username: Doctor, Password: Awesome). Exit his apartment and go down the stairs to the next level.
Joe Puddy’s Apartment
Head to your right and jump over the staircase and you should find Joe Puddy’s apartment. Go inside and check the bookcase on your right. You should see a pair of bolt cutters on top of the bookcase, jump up and grab them. Now run to your left and into Joe Puddy’s kitchen. Click the note on the refrigerator to get Joe Puddy’s clue for your clue notebook. Exist his apartment and go downstairs to the next level.
Gamer Guy’s Apartment
Head to your left and you’ll find the final apartment, Gamer Guy’s apartment. He’s not a zombie!!! Go inside and click on the trash can on your right to dig through the trash until you find a green bottle of Valley Rain. You’ll take off the label, which is Gamer Guy’s clue and put it into your clue notebook.
Continue to your right and speak with Gamer Guy. Click the third option and he’ll tell you that he’s okay and having a great time catching up on video games. Jump up and grab the camera that’s on top of the speaker next to the “Zombie in Paradise” poster. Equip the camera because it will help you stun the zombies and give you a better view when you use the flash. To use the camera, just click the camera icon in the lower left and it’ll set the flash off You can continue to your right and play a mini game called “Terror in the Garden” but you there’s no advantage to beating the island. We’re done here, so head out of his apartment, up the stairs and out of the Shady Side apartment building.
